About Me
I am an artist living in North Derbyshire. I like to paint in an expressive style, using vibrant colours and creating texture in my works.
I have always loved art, and although I did art GCSE at school, I'd say that my art journey really began a little later, when I moved to London to attend university. I started attending life drawing classes on a Wednesday evening whilst studying. Towards the end of the year the tutor asked me if I was going to apply to art school as I'd gathered quite the portfolio, I replied saying I wish I could! My love of painting the human body stems from these early days. Interestingly, my early work was mostly done in charcoal and always lacked colour. When I moved solely to paint years later, I found my love of colour and haven't looked back. As well as painting nudes, I also draw inspiration from the world around - painting landscapes and colourful animals.
The time I've had for my art has varied over the years, but I've been consistently selling my work for several years now and my art is now displayed in people's homes all over the world.
When I'm not painting, I can otherwise be found wandering in the countryside, horse riding or swimming.
